Overview

Headless Shopify storefront for boutique guitars & audio gear — desktop marketing site, mobile marketplace web app, EN/KO bilingual.

Boutique Nané (The Sound of Heaven) needed a commerce experience that feels premium on desktop and native-app on mobile — without locking the brand into a theme template.

We built a dual-surface Next.js storefront: on desktop it reads as a curated brand site (hero, story, three disciplines — Custom Guitars / Boutique Pedals / Audio Gear, four-step consult process, and consultation CTA). On mobile it switches to a marketplace web-app pattern with persistent bottom nav (Home · Shop · Saved · Consult · Cart), search, category chips (Guitars, Pedals, Studio, Amps, Accessories), Featured / New arrivals grids, wishlist hearts, and Add / Buy + Request a quote flows.

Commerce is headless Shopify: Storefront API GraphQL for products, collections, filters, and cart; Shopify-hosted product media (cdn.shopify.com); cart checkout handoff to Shopify; Admin API for catalog seed/sync and Draft Order inquiries. Resend powers consultation emails. EN/KO language switching is wired through query-param i18n so collection filters and product routes stay bilingual.

Stack: Next.js 16 (App Router) · React 19 · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS 4 · Shopify Storefront + Admin GraphQL · Zod · anime.js / Lottie · Lucide · Resend · Vercel. This project shows how DAOL ships a vertical e-commerce brand with real Shopify ops — not a static mock — while keeping a custom UI that themes cannot match.
